Transportes Ortega, a Valencian road haulage company, has welcomed in its facilities the visit of the Virgen de los Desamparados, becoming the only transport company that has received “la Geperudeta”.
VALENCIA. The Virgin has made a pilgrimage to the transport company on the occasion of the centenary of her coronation. “As a company, we are very committed to our immediate environment and we support local traditions and festivities. For us it is an important gesture to receive the ‘Mare de Déu del Desamparats’, a visit promoted by the residents of the neighborhood of La Punta, which is an honor as Valencians,” says Juan Ortega, president of Transportes Ortega.
The event was attended by more than 400 people from the neighborhood of La Punta, located on the outskirts of the city of Valencia and near the facilities of Transportes Ortega. They have also participated the Association of Neighbors La Unió de La Punta, La Falla de la Punta, the Association of Dones de La Punta, and clavarios and clavariesas. “From Transportes Ortega we would like to thank all the participants who have made the visit of the Pilgrim MTA possible,” concludes Ortega.
